Have you ever been lost while driving (we know we have!!!), have you ever wanted to know the quickest way to get someone, do you want to save time and fuel? Then do we have a product for you!!!

GPS is no longer a luxury anymore, with a complecated road network, and endless deadlines it is a necessity. And for the cost of $1.50 to $2 per day per vehicle, it has never been more affordable.

Just think of the business benefits, no more labor paid when people aren't really working, fuel savings, routing efficiencies, etc, the list goes on.

GPS Insight is a hardware and web software-based vehicle tracking product which is the technical leader in the GPS tracking field. We have the only hardware which is trivial to install (plugs directly into the vehicles diagnostics port), we have same-day-shipping, we are the only product which gets direct engine diagnostics (fault codes, speed, fuel consumption, odometer readings, idle time, etc.), and our product gives 2 minute updates with VERY high end map options and customizations.

We are looking for independent reviews of our product, as well as comparisons to other GPS tracking products.

Our target customers are service and trucking companies, e.g. HVAC, roofing, plumbing, construction, sales forces, delivery vehicles, long haul trucking, etc.Further information about our product is available at

Self Improvement: Does your job have the three E’s

A good job, or any work for that matter often involves the three Es: Enlargement, enrichment and empowerment. Today, we will look at these, and relate them back to how they can help you in your job or in the work you undertake for goal setting.

Enlargement: In simple terms this means expanding the role of the job you are doing, cross skilling and mitliskilling are forms of job enlargement. This is particularly important if you are just starting out in your own business or starting out on your goals. While you will have some specific skill sets, you will need to gain knowledge in other areas to build up your business or to reach your goals.

Enrichment: This means expanding your tasks vertically. Once you have developed a broad range of skills in the required areas, you then develop depth in those skills. This results in a fine tuning of your skills and greater productivity.

Empowerment: Empowerment builds on from enrichment, and means that you start taking on responsibilities that were previously at positions higher than you. Once you reach this stage, you will be a mentor for other people wanting to reach your goals, or start a business like yours.

The three E’s are simply a level of knowledge in your business. As you go from enlargement, to enrichment right through to empowerment, you and your business or your goal will grow. The bottom line is to work out what tasks are needed, and then to become knowledgeable in them.

Healthy: Benefits of Red Wine

Wine has long been sort of as a time of health drink, particularly in moderation. Today we look at some of the benefits of wine. The results are based on world wide studies that have been undertaken on the good old glass of plonk.

20 percent reduction in bad cholesterol
Fewer kidney stones
Less risk of stroke
Prevention of atherosclerosis
Cardiovascular benefits (including reduced blood pressure)
Longevity
Antioxidant benefits reducing the risk of certain cancers.

Remember though, if you have more than two glass a night, the befits start to wear off. In addition, not all wines are the same. The cheaper cask wines are more likely to have preservatives and are likely to have fewer benefits.

So let’s toast to the good stuff!!!

Parenting – dealing with competitive parents

Before starting this article we would like to clarify one thing. Not all competition is a bad thing, in the right environment it can help push you to achieve better results. That said, have you ever been involved with a competitive parent. They compare everything to you and your kids, and like to rub things in when they do better.

Today we will look at five tips you can use to help deal with this.

1. Try to understand where your friend is coming from. Is she feeling insecure about her own life? Is she trying to bolter her own self–esteem? Is she doing this competitive chitchat with the other people in her life, too? Sometimes it’s nice to know you’re not alone.
2. Don’t let your friends dictate what your goals should be or what success is. Instead, set your own standard for success.
3. Think of noncompetitive responses like, “Wow, your child is so talented at soccer.” Or “Your job is going so well. That’s really great!”
4. To reduce the competition from escalating, don’t up the ante. Let the conversation be about your friend every now and then. Instead of a me/her/me/her cycle, allow it to be just about her sometimes.
5. If all else fails, you may want to let your friend know how you feel. Some friends might not even be aware of what they are doing. Pointing out their behaviour can really make a big difference.

You may recall on Friday that your editor was talking about taking his old Volvo to the wreckers. As it turned out, due to a change in events the wreckers came to him!!!

On Friday he thought he would drive the old girl into work. On the way in she didn’t sound too good, but she made it. On the way home on the freeway the car started heating up. The dash and the steering wheel started to get hot. We decided to exit the freeway early and go up a more direct route. At the top of a hill, the car started to fall a part. The engine stopped, and smoke started coming out. We tried to restart it again and the gear box clunked and became un-operational. With more and more smoke coming out, your editor quickly shut the gas and fuel off and opened the bonnet (which was quite hot).

To his amazement the engine was actually on fire!!! Luckily there were only a few flames which we managed to put out.

We were stuck in the left hand lane of a busy road during peak hour. We asked some people to help us move the car, and we called the wreckers. They offered to pick up the car for free. We will never buy a old Volvo again!!!

Cheers

Andrew Collings
